Building Control Surveyors (London & East Anglia)
We are an established Corporate Approved Inspector offering services on a wide range of exciting and rewarding projects in both the commercial and domestic sector. Due to continued growth we are seeking to appoint a multiple number of Surveyors to supplement our Colchester based team managing projects within both London & East Anglia.
We are looking for enthusiastic Building Control Surveyors who are seeking a new and rewarding career and who enjoy working within a structured team environment. You must have a positive attitude to customer care and provide a responsive and flexible service for our customers. In return we can offer you a varied caseload of both domestic and commercial projects.
You should ideally have a degree or equivalent in Building Control/Surveying and hold corporate membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) with experience in the delivery of Building Control services. We are prepared to consider candidates that are nearing the end of their training and who we can support through the final stages of their professional qualifications.
Salary: Up to £46k + Benefits + Mileage allowance + generous flexible holiday allowance. A performance related bonus is also offered annually on top of the basic salary.

CDM and Health & Safety Consultant
Due to continued expansion we are looking to increase its existing team of surveyors by the appointment of a further CDM / Health & Safety Consultant.
The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 place specific requirements on all commercial and residential construction projects, in order that the Principal Designer and others focus on Design Risk Management as an important part of the design process. The role of CDM Consultant would assist the Principal Designer comply with their respective duties, by providing assistance to coordinate and collate H&S related information to ensure that those involved in the construction, design, maintenance and future demolition of projects have sufficient information to identify and eliminate or reduce where possible hazards and risks.
Other duties the role may expand to would be assisting Principal Contractors or others with their statutory documentation, toolbox talks, and site safety auditing.
- Good Communication skills both oral and written.
- Good IT skills with ability to write reports electronically & use databases. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite is desirable.
- Good Understanding of construction techniques for both domestic and commercial.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety, ideally in construction.
- The successful candidate will ideally be a registered member of the Association of Project Safety, although training towards this can be offered to an appropriate candidate.
- NEBOSH or other recognised Construction H&S qualification
- Consideration will also be given to a competent individual with extensive experience of the construction industry or facilities management, who may not have a recognised professional qualification.
Salary: Up to £35k (subject to experience and qualifications) + generous flexible holiday allowance. A performance related bonus is also offered annually on top of the basic salary.
